Born and raised in Hawaii, James learned to love nature and the beauty of working with it. Later as a teenager, he moved to Sweden and began studying photography and 3D design. During that period, he also organized and maintained an online community that developed free user-content for computer games. As soon as he was an adult, he travelled and lived in India as a monk for a year and afterward moved back to the USA. Now based in the historic town of Charlottesville, Virginia, he is attending his second year in college and works as a freelance photographer and woodworker when he is not studying. All in all, he loves working with his hands, baking and cooking, writing, and farming. Ultimately, he hopes to return to working with the land, growing his own food, and writing fiction novels.
